US Sends Naval Armada to persian gulf.

August 8, 2008

Operation Brimstone ended only one week ago. This was the joint
US/UK/French naval war games in the Atlantic Ocean preparing for a
naval blockade of Iran and the likely resulting war in the Persian Gulf
area. The massive war games included a US Navy supercarrier battle
group, an US Navy expeditionary carrier battle group, a Royal Navy
carrier battle group, a French nuclear hunter-killer submarine plus a
large number of US Navy cruisers, destroyers and frigates playing the
“enemy force”.

The lead American ship in these war games, the USS Theodore
Roosevelt (CVN71) and its Carrier Strike Group Two (CCSG-2) are now
headed towards Iran along with the USS Ronald Reagon (CVN76) and its
Carrier Strike Group Seven (CCSG-7) coming from Japan.

They are joining two existing USN battle groups in the Gulf area:
the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN72) with its Carrier Strike Group Nine
(CCSG-9); and the USS Peleliu (LHA-5) with its expeditionary strike
group.

Likely also under way towards the Persian Gulf is the USS Iwo Jima
(LHD-7) and its expeditionary strike group, the UK Royal Navy HMS Ark
Royal (R07) carrier battle group, assorted French naval assets
including the nuclear hunter-killer submarine Amethyste and French
Naval Rafale fighter jets on-board the USS Theodore Roosevelt. These
ships took part in the just completed Operation Brimstone.

The build up of naval forces in the Gulf will be one of the largest
multi-national naval armadas since the First and Second Gulf Wars. The
intent is to create a US/EU naval blockade (which is an Act of War
under international law) around Iran (with supporting air and land
elements) to prevent the shipment of benzene and certain other refined
oil products headed to Iranian ports. Iran has limited domestic oil
refining capacity and imports 40% of its benzene. Cutting off benzene
and other key products would cripple the Iranian economy. The neo-cons
are counting on such a blockade launching a war with Iran.

The US Naval forces being assembled include the following:

Carrier Strike Group Nine

USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN72) nuclear powered supercarrier

with its Carrier Air Wing Two

Destroyer Squadron Nine:

USS Mobile Bay (CG53) guided missile cruiser

USS Russell (DDG59) guided missile destroyer

USS Momsen (DDG92) guided missile destroyer

USS Shoup (DDG86) guided missile destroyer

USS Ford (FFG54) guided missile frigate

USS Ingraham (FFG61) guided missile frigate

USS Rodney M. Davis (FFG60) guided missile frigate

USS Curts (FFG38) guided missile frigate

Plus one or more nuclear hunter-killer submarines

Peleliu Expeditionary Strike Group

USS Peleliu (LHA-5) a Tarawa-class amphibious assault carrier

USS Pearl Harbor (LSD52) assult ship

USS Dubuque (LPD8) assult ship/landing dock

USS Cape St. George (CG71) guided missile cruiser

USS Halsey (DDG97) guided missile destroyer

USS Benfold (DDG65) guided missile destroyer

Carrier Strike Group Two

USS Theodore Roosevelt (DVN71) nuclear powered supercarrier

with its Carrier Air Wing Eight

Destroyer Squadron 22

USS Monterey (CG61) guided missile cruiser

USS Mason (DDG87) guided missile destroyer

USS Nitze (DDG94) guided missile destroyer

USS Sullivans (DDG68) guided missile destroyer

USS Springfield (SSN761) nuclear powered hunter-killer submarine

IWO ESG ~ Iwo Jima Expeditionary Strike Group

USS Iwo Jima (LHD7) amphibious assault carrier

with its Amphibious Squadron Four

and with its 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit

USS San Antonio (LPD17) assault ship

USS Velia Gulf (CG72) guided missile cruiser

USS Ramage (DDG61) guided missile destroyer

USS Carter Hall (LSD50) assault ship

USS Roosevelt (DDG80) guided missile destroyer

USS Hartfore (SSN768) nuclear powered hunter-killer submarine

Carrier Strike Group Seven

USS Ronald Reagan (CVN76) nuclear powered supercarrier

with its Carrier Air Wing 14

Destroyer Squadron 7

USS Chancellorsville (CG62) guided missile cruiser

USS Howard (DDG83) guided missile destroyer

USS Gridley (DDG101) guided missile destroyer

USS Decatur (DDG73) guided missile destroyer

USS Thach (FFG43) guided missile frigate

USNS Rainier (T-AOE-7) fast combat support ship

Also likely to join the battle armada:

UK Royal Navy HMS Ark Royal Carrier Strike Group with assorted
guided missile destroyers and frigates, nuclear hunter-killer
submarines and support ships

French Navy nuclear powered hunter-killer submarines (likely the
Amethyste and perhaps others), plus French Naval Rafale fighter jets
operating off of the USS Theodore Roosevelt as the French Carrier
Charles de Gaulle is in dry dock, and assorted surface warships

Various other US Navy warships and submarines and support ships. The
following USN ships took part (as the “enemy” forces) in Operation
Brimstone and several may join in:

USS San Jacinto (CG56) guided missile cruiser

USS Anzio (CG68) guided missile cruiser

USS Normandy (CG60) guided missile cruiser

USS Carney (DDG64) guided missile destroyer

USS Oscar Austin (DDG79) guided missile destroyer

USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG81) guided missile destroyer

USS Carr (FFG52) guided missile frigate

The USS Iwo Jima and USS Peleliu Expeditionary Strike Groups have
USMC Harrier jump jets and an assortment of assault and attack
helicopters. The Expeditionary Strike Groups have powerful USMC
Expeditionary Units with amphibious armor and ground forces trained for
operating in shallow waters and in seizures of land assets, such as
Qeshm Island (a 50 mile long island off of Bandar Abbas in the Gulf of
Hormuz and headquarters of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards
Corps).

The large and very advanced nature of the US Naval warships is not
only directed at Iran. There is a great fear that Russia and China may
oppose the naval and air/land blockade of Iran. If Russian and perhaps
Chinese naval warships escort commercial tankers to Iran in violation
of the blockade it could be the most dangerous at-sea confrontation
since the Cuban Missile Crisis. The US and allied Navies, by front
loading a Naval blockade force with very powerful guided missile
warships and strike carriers is attempting to have a force so powerful
that Russia and China will not be tempted to mess with. This is a most
serious game of military brinkmanship with major nuclear armed powers
that have profound objections to the neo-con grand strategy and to
western control of all of the Middle East’s oil supply.

The Russian Navy this spring sent a major battle fleet into the
Mediterranean headed by the modern aircraft carrier the Admiral
Kuznetsov and the flagship of its Black Sea Fleet, the Guided Missile
Heavy Cruiser Moskva. This powerful fleet has at least 11 surface ships
and unknown numbers of subs and can use the Russian naval facility at
Syria’s Tartous port for resupply. The Admiral Kuznetsov carries
approximately 47 warplanes and 10 helicopters. The warplanes are mostly
the powerful Su-33, a naval version (with mid-air refueling capability)
of the Su-27 family. While the Su-33 is a very powerful warplane it
lacks the power of the stealth USAF F-22. However, the Russians insist
that they have developed a plasma based system that allows them to
stealth any aircraft and a recent incident where Russian fighters were
able to appear unannounced over a US Navy carrier battle group tends to
confirm their claims. The Su-33 can be armed with the 3M82 Moskit
sea-skimming missile (NATO code name SS-N-22 Sunburn) and the even more
powerful P-800 Oniks (also named Yakhonts; NATO code name SS-N-26
Onyx). Both missiles are designed to kill US Navy supercarriers by
getting past the cruiser/destroyer screen and the USN point-defense
Phalanx system by using high supersonic speeds and violent end
maneuvers. Russian subs currently use the underwater rocket VA-111
Shkval (Squall), which is fired from standard 533mm torpedo tubes and
reaches a speed of 360kph (230mph) underwater. There is no effective
countermeasures to this system and no western counterpart.

A strategic diversion has been created for Russia. The Republic of
Georgia, with US backing, is actively preparing for war on South
Ossetia. The South Ossetia capital has been shelled and a large
Georgian tank force has been heading towards the border. Russia has
stated that it will not sit by and allow the Georgians to attack South
Ossetia. The Russians are great chess players and this game may not
turn out so well for the neo-cons. UPDATE 8 August 2008 ~ War has
broken out between Georgia and South Ossetia. At least 10 Russian
troops have been killed and 30 wounded and 2 Russian fighter jets
downed. American Marines, a thousand of them, have recently been in
Georgia training the Georgian military forces. Several European nations
stopped Bush and others from allowing Georgia into NATO. Russia is
moving a large military force with armor towards the area. This could
get bad, and remember it is just a strategic diversion….but one that
could have horrific effects. Link to story “Russia sends forces into
Georgia rebel conflict”. FURTHER UPDATE ~ Russian military forces in
active combat; now total of four Russian fighter jets reported downed.
ADDITIONAL UPDATE ~ Georgia calls for US help; Russian Air Force bombs
Georgian air bases. DEBKA, the Israeli strategy and military site,
states that Israeli military officers are advising the Georgian armed
forces in combat operations and that 1,000 Israelis are in-combat on
the side of Georgia at this time.

Kuwait has activated its “Emergency War Plan” as it and other Gulf
nations prepare for the likelihood of a major regional war in the
Middle East involving weapons of mass destruction.

The two-ton elephant in the living room of the neo-con strategy is
the advanced biowar (ABW) that Iran, and to a lessor extent Syria, has.
This places the motherlands of the major neo-con nations (America,
France, the United Kingdom), as well as Israel, in grave danger. When
the Soviet Union fell the Iranians hired as many out-of-work former
Soviet advanced biowar experts as possible. In the last 15 or so years
they have helped to develop a truly world class ABW program utilizing
recombination DNA genetic engineering technology to create a large
number of man made killer viruses. This form of weapon system does not
require high tech military delivery systems. The viruses are
sub-microscopic and once seeded in a population use the population
itself as vectors. Seeding can be done without notice in shopping
malls, churches, and other public places. The only real defense to an
advanced global strategic biowar attack is to lock down the population
as rapidly as possible and let those infected die off.

Unless the public gets it act together and forces the neo-cons to
stop the march to yet another war in the Middle East we are apt to see
a truly horrific nightmare unfold in OUR COUNTRIES.

1. “This [Federal Reserve Act] establishes the most gigantic trust on
earth. When the President Wilson signs this bill, the invisible
government of the monetary power will be legalized….the worst
legislative crime of the ages is perpetrated by this banking and
currency bill.” -Charles A. Lindbergh, Sr.

2. “I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A
great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our
system of credit is concentrated in the hands of a few men. We have
come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely
controlled and dominated governments in the world–no longer a
government of free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and
vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of
small groups of dominant men.” -Woodrow Wilson

3. “The Federal Reserve (Banks) are one of the most corrupt
institutions the world has ever seen. There is not a man within the
sound of my voice who does not know that this Nation is run by the
International Bankers.” -Louis McFadden

4. “I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our
liberties than standing armies. Already they have raised up a money
aristocracy that has set the government at defiance. The issuing power
should be taken from the banks, and restored to the people to whom it
properly belongs.” -Thomas Jefferson

5. “If the American people ever allow private banks to control the
issue of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the
banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the
people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the
continent their fathers conquered.” -Thomas Jefferson

6. “Capital must protect itself in every way… Debts must be collected
and loans and mortgages foreclosed as soon as possible. When through a
process of law the common people have lost their homes, they will be
more tractable and more easily governed by the strong arm of the law
applied by the central power of leading financiers. People without
homes will not quarrel with their leaders. This is well known among our
principle men now engaged in forming an imperialism of capitalism to
govern the world. By dividing the people we can get them to expend
their energies in fighting over questions of no importance to us except
as teachers of the common herd.”-J.P. Morgan, Founder of Chase Bank

abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent means possible to maintain their
control over governments by controlling money and it’s issuance” -James
Madison

Eternal God I will rout you out. If the people only understood the rank
injustice of our money and banking system, there would be a revolution
before morning.” -Andrew Jackson

10. “It is well that the people of the nation do not understand our
banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be
a revolution before tomorrow morning.” -Henry Ford

11. “The one aim of these financiers is world control by the creation of inextinguishable debts.” -Henry Ford

12. “Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The Bankers
own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to
create deposits, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough
deposits to buy it back again. However, take it away from them, and all
the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to
disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in.
But, if you wish to remain the slaves of Bankers and pay the cost of
your own slavery, let them continue to create deposits.”-Sir Josiah
stamp, President of the Bank of England in the 1920’s

people fear their government it is tyranny” -Thomas Jefferson

the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of
their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks
of man and woman.” -Thomas Paine

brave and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds the timid join
him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.” -Mark Twain

conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists.” -J. Edgar Hoover,
former head of the FBI

32. “I think that it was a mistake. And if I’d known what was going to
happen, I never would have done it…. But it got out of hand…. Now as
nearly as I can make out, those fellows in the CIA don’t just report on
wars and the like, they go out and make their own and there is nobody
to keep track of what they are up to. They spend billions of dollars on
stirring up trouble so they will have something to report on. They’ve
become . . . it’s become a government of all its own and all secret.
They just don’t have to report to anybody. . . The people have got a

Thoughts On the Harassment of Tom Feeley

Kurt Nimmo

Infowars

August 7, 2008

Reading Mike Whitney’s account
of the harassment of Tom Feeley, the editor and publisher of the
Information Clearing House website, I am once again reminded that it is
a few minutes before midnight (see Paul Joseph Watson’s account
as well). As the clock strikes midnight, our brownshirts will rush in
like a plague of locusts, or more accurately an invasion of
cockroaches. America will become Nazi Germany, it will become Chile
under Pinochet, it will be transformed into a fascist dictatorship.
Most of us, distracted by bread and circuses, numbed by incessant
propaganda, don’t realize how close at hand this reality is. It is now
emerging from the shadows, as Mr. Feeley no doubt understands.

George Grosz
George Grosz: A Writer, Is He? 1934-35.

Nazi Germany, of course, is not an exact parallel. In 1921 Adolf
Hitler formed his own private army called Sturm Abteilung, German for
Storm Section, and the SA was instructed to disrupt the meetings of
political opponents. In large part the SA was comprised of former
members of the Freikorps, reactionary thugs organized into gangs after
the First World War. As Spartacus Educational
explains, Freikorps thugs “had considerable experience in using
violence against their rivals” and were inspired after Hitler’s
speeches to hunt down, brutalize, and even murder their opponents.
Later, select members of the SA would be organized into the Gestapo SS.

Bush’s neocons are nowhere nearly as organized and vicious as the SA
brownshirts, although the demented passion and violence is there, the
desire to deal with opponents severely is thinly masked, ready to
emerge given the right situation. Bush, however, is not Hitler,
although his grand daddy helped facilitate Hitler’s crimes. Unlike
Hitler, Bush’s neocons do not have at their disposal a mass fascist
organization and cannot dispatch paramilitary goon squads and knuckle
draggers to deal with opponents. In America, circa 2008, we have yet to
experience organized gangs of neocon thugs attacking antiwar activists
and truth movement patriots. In America, circa 2008, the intimidation
and violence operates in the shadows… for the moment.

It is not clear who exactly threatened and intimidated Tom Feeley
and his wife, although a few educated guesses come to mind. It is a
matter of documented history that the FBI and recruited local police,
under COINTELPRO, used “extralegal” force and violence against
opponents of government policies. Such tactics included break-ins,
vandalism, assaults, beatings, and — in the case of the Black Panthers
and the American Indian Movement — murder.

“Many of the techniques used would be intolerable in a democratic
society even if all of the targets had been involved in violent
activity, but COINTELPRO went far beyond that,” reported the Church
Committee back in the mid-1970s, “the Bureau conducted a sophisticated
vigilante operation aimed squarely at preventing the exercise of First
Amendment rights of speech and association, on the theory that
preventing the growth of dangerous groups and the propagation of
dangerous ideas would protect the national security and deter
violence.” In essence, the FBI served as America’s secret police then
and continue to do so now. It also on occasion served as an
assassination team assigned with taking out leaders like Martin Luther
King.

Back in the 1960s and early 1970s, there was no such thing as the
Patriot Act, nothing approaching the Military Commissions Act, and
certainly nothing of the draconian character of PDD51, basically a plan
to declare martial law and implement a dictatorship, provided the right
situation or, as in the case of 9/11, the right “terrorist event.”
Nixon’s declared “silent majority” pales when compared to Bush’s neocon
minority, a gaggle of reactionaries hysterically calling not only for
nuking Iran but also rounding up the growing opposition, tasering and
beating them, and marching them off to freshly constructed
concentration camps built under government contract by Halliburton.

But maybe I am biased, as I have personally experienced the insane
wrath of these people. Compared to Mr. Feeley, however, I am fortunate
— no thugs showed up uninvited in my kitchen. Instead, they repeatedly
emailed and blogged death threats and made harassing telephone calls to
my place of employment. Unlike Alex Jones, I was not physically
attacked, or did a thug block in my car and demand I forget about the
First Amendment. I am fortunate to have only experienced minor
harassment.

If you can tell which way the wind is blowing, though, you will
realize time is short. It is eleven fifty eight and twenty seconds.

It is no mistake that candidate Obama calls for a “National Security
Force” as large and well-funded as the U.S. military, and candidate
McCain calls for troops to lock down cities and conduct raids to “fight
crime.”

REX-84 was no mistake and the long-standing plans for FEMA detention
camps are not happenstance. Operation Cable Splicer and Garden Plot are
not the idle meanderings of pencil-necked geeks at the Pentagon. Former
Gen. Tommy Franks was serious when he said the Constitution will be
jettisoned after the next false flag terror attack. Exercise Vigilant
Shield and dozens of other “exercises” conducted by U.S. Northcom, the
DHS, and local, state and other federal “responders” has less to do
with natural disasters than gearing up for martial law. It’s no mistake
the local cops, the National Guard, and Blackwater — under the aegis of
FEMA — confiscated firearms in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Likewise,
it was no mistake local cops, the Kansas Highway Patrol, ATF, FEMA, and
the National Guard confiscated firearms in the aftermath of a tornado
in Greensburg, Kansas. Both were incubator studies in tyranny.

No, the Nazi SA comparison does not work — not in America, circa
2008. Tom Feeley and Alex Jones were not kidnapped in the dead of night
and found the next morning executed in typical death squad fashion. But
after martial law is declared — after the next attack, an attack
repeatedly promised by no shortage of government officials and experts
— the machinery is firmly in place to turn America into a fascist
dictatorship that will make the Nazi corollary pale by way of
comparison with its scientific precision.

In the meantime, keep your eye on the clock.

You will be watched.
